Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 5-1/2-Quart Round French Oven, Caribbean

Lifetime of enjoyment ahead
I believe this is the the best size dutch oven for anyone. It's perfect for a medium roast with veggies, soups or stews, etc. Very easy to clean. This pot is approx. 10 1/2 inches across the top opening and 4 1/2 inches deep. Not too big -- not too small. You'll be grabbing this pot for almost everything you do.

Soups, Stews, and Braising Meats made easy!
I love this pot! And, I love how it looks on my kitchen stove. Unlike my other pots and pans, this one stays out and adds to the decor of my kitchen - I love the pop of color. Deciding on the color, size and shape was difficult for me ... it took me 2 months of deciding (I wish I was joking). After much (and then some) deliberation, I got the round 5 1/2 quart french oven Le Creuset in carribean.

It's been over 6 months since I've purchased this, and I'm always surprised as to how much I use my french oven. They are so versatile and can be used to make anything from soups, stews, and pot roasts, to braised short ribs, to baked no-knead bread. It has great even-heat distribution and heat retention, which will cook food uniformly. Also, I love that I can use this on both the stove and in the oven, which is invaluable in cooking. Plus, they're so durable, they will literally last for decades. Maybe this is why it took me so long to decide on the color ... that's a long...

Love it!
I can't say enough good things about this product. No matter what I cook be it stew, pot roast, or pork tenderloin...it comes out so tender. The cooking surface really makes for even distribution when cooking. It is so easy to wash the food just melts right off. One heed of advice you need to let it cool completely before washing otherwise the surface becomes not non-stick. I love this product!

Pfaltzgraff Winterberry 13-Inch-by-9-Inch Rectangular Baker

Excellent stoneware - but Made in China now, not USA
I have owned Pfaltzgraff stoneware in several patterns and must say that Winterberry is my very favorite. This is the perfect dinnerware for all occasions during the Winter season. I recently added this rectangular baker to my collection and am very pleased with it. One of the wonderful things about the stoneware is that you can bake and serve in the same dish. This is a tremendous advantage during busy holidays. Although this baker is somewhat smaller than a Pyrex baker it still has a multitude of uses both for everyday casseroles and bring-a-dish sides that you may want to share. The Winterberry pattern is crisp and beautiful on the white background. Since Pfaltzgraff has moved their manufacturing of stoneware to China, in the past years the early Chinese pieces were quite sub-quality to the previously USA made ones. No so, now. Although there is a slight difference in the white background glaze, the USA items being somewhat creamier and the Chinese pieces being a bit more...

much smaller then described
we have the winterberry pattern and entertain a lot over the holidays. Saw this casserole and it is listed as a 9X13 inch which is standard, but in fact it is only 7.5X12. It is still a nice casserole but just smaller so may need two.

Size Matters. . .
This dish, while very pretty, is not as big as I thought it would be. I thought it would be the same size as a standard Pyrex oblong baking dish, and it's quite a bit smaller. I'm going to keep it, but it will not be as useful as I'd hoped.

that is the only negative. Great price.

Magefesa Provence Blue Gloss Enamel On Steel 7 Inch, 9 Inch & 11 Inch Fry Pan Set (3 Piece)

Good Frypan set
Orderd these to replace some aluminum based non-stick ones that were wearing out. I've converted all my fry and sauce pans to stainless steel - they wear better and you don't have to worry about the aluminum leaching into your food while you cook. So far they work very well - no sign of non-stick coating loss, and the heat transfer is excellent. They also have a nice sturdy feel to them. They are an excellent buy for the price - highly recommended.

Swissmar F66917 11-Piece Bienne Meat Fondue Set, Stainless Steel

Fondue Set
Its perfect. I had a 10 person fondue party. I bought two of these plus I had another thicker pot for cheese. the hammering makes it look awesome. However, this one had a rough edge around the top and caused the guard to not quite fit right, but with a little sanding it went back to the way it should have been.

Trudeau Dip N' Pour 11 Piece Dessert Set

pot doesn't withstand heat of candle
My daughter bought me this cute set from a store that soon after went out of business. The first time I used the set for chocolate fondue, the bowl cracked from sitting on the stand with the candle. The pottery doesn't take the heat. I'm disappointed because it's such a cute set. I think the pot sits too close to the candle flame. I used the tea light in the box and it still was too hot. Now I wonder if there is any way to get a replacement piece.

Great product, but it needs to be packaged better for shipping
I shipped this straight to my sister's house for Christmas this year. She absolutely LOVES the set, however one bowl is cracked from the edge down to the bottom. Before I ordered the product, I checked out the reviews and noticed another buyer had the same problem. Other than that, it's a great value for the price.

cute petite set with a cracked bowl
We received this set as a Christmas gift this year. One of the small bowls is cracked. I don't have a packing slip and am wondering how to go about exchanging the bowl. The main fondue bowl was wrapped well in bubble wrap; however, the small bowls only had a piece of paper between them and were inside a small box. The set looks fun and is a petite size.

Le Creuset Cast Iron Cookware Gift Set, Cherry

Le Creuset cast iron is worth it
While I only purchased this pot a week ago, I can verify that Le Creuset is excellent cookware. In the mid 1980s, my mother found a set of Le Creuset cookware on clearance for a little over $150. My dad nearly had a cow, until he ate things cooked with it for a few weeks. Then he calmed down a bit. He still made comments about the cost every now and then for the first year or so, but when my mom went five years without purchasing a single piece of cookware (and this was a huge record for my mom), he stopped complaining. After another few years, he was so impressed with the durability, that when "his" pot (the one he used for boiling peanuts, chili, and the few other things he did in the kitchen) was pretty worn and needed replacing, he started considering buying a Le Creuset. Mind you, it was about 8-10 years after my mom's purchase, but he nearly had a second cow when he priced it and the single pot was more than my mom had paid for her set! It was at this point he...

Very nice
Le Creuset all I have to say....always great stuff. The blue is a very pretty blue the pictures don't do it justice!

Absolute Workhorse
I procrastinated about getting a Le Creuset Dutch Oven because of the price, and was ecstatic to find this as a Lightning Deal. In the almost two months I've had this, it's been in almost constant use. The color is a warm orange that shades darker on the bottom (you can't really tell that by the pictures). The interior and exterior finish cleans up fast and easy with regular soap and water. I haven't tried the cleaner that came with the set, but it's not intended for everyday cleaning. The serving trivet is very pretty, and really makes this a perfect oven-to-table piece of cookware.

I know that with Le Creuset, you pay a premium for the name. But, after buying this piece, I consider it a worthy investment. I store this with other orange kitchen items that my grandmother gave me, and I feel confident that if my daughter has children, I can pass this Dutch Oven on to them. I'll be using this until I'm too old and feeble to lift it off the stovetop.

All Clad 5110-40-GEN Stainless Steel 10-Inch 40th Anniversary Skillet

The Best ever.
This is the best skillet I have ever used. Read all the reviews and knew to use a low temperature. I think the real trick to using the skillet is the little pat of real butter. I have never spent this much on a skillet before, I was hesitant but now I want more. I think a lid should come with it for this much money but it is extra. Seldom need a lid for this small of a skillet but I would need one for the larger skillet. Worth every penny. My first test was fried eggs.If a skillet is going to stick , eggs will stick but the eggs slid around in the skillet without the slightest hint of sticking. I was tempted to throw on some cheese, maybe next time. Wish I knew when the sales were going to be so I could get them for a good price again.
One word of caution, don't think the real butter "spread" is the same as real butter, it is not and it will cause your food to stick. I don't know what they put in it but stay away from anything that is not real butter for cooking if you don't...

All Clad Stainless Steel Food Mill

love, love, love it
I haven't had a food mill before so I can't compare it to other ones. This one was given to me as a gift 5 months ago.

Pros:
Solidly built and well made. It should last a long time.

All stainless steel except for rubber trim under the legs

The legs fold up for storage. They are ridged and stay firmly on the edge of a bowl.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do--it grinds and strains. I use it for making tomato paste, mashing cooked beans or potatoes, getting the last bit of liquid out of the soft bits after making stock, pureeing cooked acorn squash, etc.

It has three interchangeable blades (I mainly use the one with the smallest opening)

It all comes apart and is a breeze to clean.

Cons:

Setting it up is a bit awkward until you figure it out. The directions were nearly nonexistent. I had to look it up on YouTube.

The price seems high.

Love this food mill
I ordered a food mill from another vendor, the quality of the stainless steel was poor,I had to return the mill. I was hesitant about placing another order. When the All-Clad Stainless Steel Food Mill arrived, timely I might add, I was so happy to see how well it was made and the high quality of the stainless steel. I was also impressed with the ease of the set up. Would highly recommend this mill to anyone looking for a good quality food mill

Works well... Tastes Great!
Well made, sturdy and works really well and is easy to operate.
Beats out the competition with ease... all-clad makes excellent products!

Anolon Ultra Clad Stainless Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

Overall Good Value for High Quality Cookware.
These are made by Meyer Corp, who also makes Circulon, Faberware, KitchenAid, Silverstone and Bonjour products. All their brands are great. I you can get these pans for less than $300 than this is one of the best buys out there for Stainless steel cookware. Consumer reports rates this set very well. It retails for $399.99, which is much to high to pay, but amazon has them at a good $300. This set is tri-ply which means that it has 3 layers of metal. The center metal is aluminum which conducts heat better than other metals. They heat fast and uniformly, which makes it nice to cook anything on/in these. My set came with some minor cosmetic damage, whether due to shipping or manufacturing, but will not effect the performance of the cookware. These tend to be fingerprint magnets as well. Overall they are a great value for what you are getting. I would also recommend one good non-stick skillet for more delicate foods and when you don't want to cook with oils.

They clean up well...

Great Cookware Set
I ordered this set using my frequent flyer miles. It is the nicest cookware set I've ever owned! My previous sets were non-stick, so it did take a little getting used to cooking with stainless steel (hot pan, cold oil; food won't stick). I've only been using it for about a month - but they seem very durable. They are also very stylish! I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Very nice set
I received this set yesterday, it's an excellent set of cookware. The pieces seem to be built in a very quality manner, and appear to be indestructible. I cooked a small meal, and can absolutely say that this set creates a very even distribution of heat and cooked everything very nicely.

The only issue is that this set can be bought much cheaper directly from the manufacturer.

Empire Prophecy Paintball Quick Speed Feed - Load Lid Kit

Speedball Requirement
This is essential if you play speedball. Don't go into a speedball match with the stock Z2 and no speed feed. The speed feed makes loading balls on the fly a breeze.

Warning though, you will drop a few balls on the field if you do use this; that's expected though, so it's not a problem.

Easy.
This product was extremely easy to install took 3 seconds tops. Played on the filed all day sliding and diving around with no balls falling out. Feeding was flawless and easy, I love my Z2 loader and this makes it much better.

Awsome
At first i really didnt like the idea of a speedfeed because i felt that my paintballs would just fly out when i was running but its really great it keeps the paint in and is really easy to install! i would recommend this to any speedballer

All-Clad E9077964AMZ Pasta Pot with Mesh Insert and Stainless Steel Ladle, 8-Quart Cookware, Silver

Not real All Clad quality...Made in China
For what it is, it is way over priced. My husband knowing I prefer All Clad stainless cookware bought this for me from the Williams-Sonoma website for $112.00, but sad to say, the quality, fit and finish are of much lessor quality than my older All Clad pots and pans that were all manufactured in the USA.

My friend has a 4 piece set of the Excelsteel 8 Quart, 18/10 Stainless Steel brand that she paid less than $35.00 for and it is made in China, and her brand and my All Clad brand have the same quality, weight, and finish.

The All Clad brand for me now is just another cheap Chinese made piece of deficient cookware that has finally followed all of the other, what used to be USA manufactured, top quality kitchenware, into the abyss of junk.

Outstanding cookware
I have used many pasta pots and found this pot to be of the best quality yet. The Pot has a heavy clad bottom for perfect distribution of heat with the remainder consisting of high quality stainless steel and heavy duty handles. The insert is also high quality stainless steel mesh supported by stainless steel framework. This mesh is considerably easier to clean than those inserts which are made by a series of holes. I have already used this pot for pasta and soups many times and just love it. The ladle is also heavy duty polished stainless steel and which is also of great quality.

Calphalon Tri-Ply Collector's Edition 3-Quart Chef's Pan with Lid

Another great addition!
Slowly but surely, I'm accumulating all the pieces to my Tri-Ply collection. This pot has some redundancy, as it's very similar to my 3-1/2-Quart Saucepan, but the main difference is that the sides are a bit sloped. Thus, I can use it for other applications, such as stir-frying and casseroles. Moreover, this size is a very handy size to have.

One further note- there is a feature I like about the Tri-ply line, in that the lids collect the moisture during cooking, accumulates this on the lid, and deposits back into my food. This really helps to re-moisturize my food, and in general, make everything taste better!

What I can't believe is someone down below comparing the Tri-Ply line to Simply Stainless. That's like comparing BMW to Chevrolet. SS does not come with a lifetime warranty, and is NOT tri ply all around, it just has an aluminum core. Pay more for quality cookware.

A note about cleaning- after extended use, there will be tarnishing and...

I love this pan!
I have this pan and love it so much I just ordered the 4-1/2 quart version. I use my Calphalon Tri-Ply pots and pans daily and love them as much if not more than my All Clad stainless. The lids fit snugly and that is terribly important when I make rice and steam veggies. My All Clad can't make the same claim and they cost a bunch more as we all know. They don't stick and clean up in a cinch, their weight, balance and design is superb as well.
Give this line a try, start with one of their "try me" collector's pans, you won't regret it!

A Great Pot at a Great Price
Compared with the prices of other pieces in the collection, this pot is a steal! It cooks evenly, and cleans easily. What more can you ask for? I traded in my old Revere copper bottom set for Tri-ply and love it. Even the more expensive pieces are definately worth the price.

Norpro KRONA Stainless Steel 8 Cup Multi Pot

What a handy pot! Does a bunch of things!
I originally got this so I could make a big Turkish Coffee every morning, and that's all I did with it for weeks, and it is excellent at that, keeping the boil/foam in, making enough for a big drink and a snap to clean with just a nylon scrubbie and dishsoap in a moment. It heats quickly, looks great after dozens and dozens of uses and works great for the purpose.

HOWEVER, I've also used it to do reductions, melt butter, cheese, reheat gravy, quickly make hot tea, blanch grape tomatoes, and a bunch of other little things that you'd normally use a small or medium saucier to do. The base on this is heavy: it heats evenly... across the flat bottom. Keep the flame within the diameter of the disc... which is good. You won't use as much energy and your water/sauce/gravy, whatever, will boil!

The only warning I would offer is a handling one and a cleaning one. The handle does get hot, because the pot is not very wide, so heat rising up the side heats the extra heavy...

Handiest pot in my drawer
I have been using this pot for over a year. Friends who visit have been so impressed that I end up sending it home with them and having to order more. Be sure to dry it out after every use to keep it looking bright and clean.

you don't know how much you love something til it is gone!
this is the second one i have had of this item...the first one i had for a few years...i used it every day...basically, i used it for water, but periodically it was called into service for things like oatmeal or soups...i loved the size, the ease of cleaning it, although how dirty can it get from boiling water...i loved that the handle never got hot...this item was called to duty several times during the day and it always sat on top of the stove...i loved that i could see from the inside how much liquid i was pouring into it...

one day, i was cooking the water for tea...i went into the bedroom to look something up on the computer and somehow, i got involved with my computer...i totally forgot about the water on the stove...about twenty minutes later, i returned to the kitchen and an awful smell, only to find that my water was gone and the bottom of the pan was black inside and out...i scrubbed and scrubbed, but most of the black would not come off...i then tried to boil...

Vinaroz Die Cast Aluminum with Ceramic Coating 28-Cm, 6.8-Quart Casserole with Lid and Vent, Red

Excellent customer Service
One of the most important fact is not just the quality of product but the customer support.

The ceramic cleans really easily and great size for large soups. Heats quickly. Be careful the handles get hot so use mitts.

Emile Henry Flame Top 2.6 Quart Tagine, Figue

A fun and exotic new cooking pot
Unlike the other review, my Tagine arrived well-packed, so Amazon seems to have conquered the shipping & breakage problem. The fig color is a nice offset to the appearance of the food inside. It was hard to decide on which color to order, but now that I have this one, I'm pleased with the decision. I highly recommend "The New Book of Middle Eastern Food" by Claudia Roden as an accompaniment to the tagine. Her book has excellent recipes made from ingredients available in US markets. Many of the recipes, especially the pilafs, can be made in a tagine. This is a nifty way to make a main-dish dinner for the family, or to put an exotic flair to a dinner shared with friends. Rather than some new gadget that seldom gets used, this can become a regular favorite in the kitchen. Looks good sitting on the stove, too.

A quality Tagine
You get what you pay for. That's what they say and that holds true for this high quality utensil. Not having cooked in the North African manner, it's taken us a while to learn the little techniques that make a dish just right. This slow/steaming method of cooking brings meat to tender perfection. We've learned to add vegetables during the later part of the process to avoid a mushy result. Spices add definition. Moroccan families often have their own spice recipes that are usually combinations of common spices with maybe an unusual ingredient or two. But adding common spices, according to recipes, will still yield a tasty result. More individualized creations will take experimentation and time.

It is difficult to judge the size of the utensil from pictures. It turned out to be larger than we expected and is really too large for cooking for two. It is rated as a six quart tagine. I would say that it easily cooks a dish for four people and maybe even six. This could be rated...

I'm in love!
My Emile Henry "Figue" Tagine arrived promptly and well packaged. It is gorgeous, and now, regally stationed upon a stainless steel throne of a stove...sitting there, waiting patiently for me to use it for something, everything actually. So far, used it for an Ethiopian feast. Tonight, fresh, ocean salmon in a Moroccan Style. Tomorrow, perhaps a vegetable frittata. I'm totally enchanted!!! So enthralled that I ordered and received the larger, black one and now when I gaze into my kitchen, I'm filled with INSPIRATION!

Guy Fieri 7-qt. Round Procelain Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven, Hot Rod Red

Nice, but HEAVY
Bought this from Amazon. As usual shipping was prompt and pot arrived in good condition. The BUT I mentioned is the weight of the pot itself. Hustling this tank in and out of a very hot oven is hazardous. Weight is listed as 15.6 lbs, but I weighed the pot and saw over 16 lbs. With over a gallon of liquid and other stuff in it the weight goes up to well over 20 lbs.

My first and so far only attempt at cooking anything in it was a French onion soup recipe from America's Test Kitchen. It involved having to take the pot out of the oven twice. Each time I was concerned that the pot holders would not give me enough purchase to grip the smallish handles. Dealing with an oven at 450 degrees and having to reach down into the oven for this very heavy pot made me worry I was going to contact the hot surface of the pot or the oven. Fortunately I got away without burning myself.

Would I have bought it if I knew the weight I would be dealing with ... no. Guy Fieri is a big...

LOVE THIS POT!!

Sitram Catering 11.1-Quart Commercial Stainless Steel Stockpot

Quality Copper Bottom
What I like most about this pot is that it has a copper bottom, sandwiched between two other layers of metal. I think that copper is the BEST metal for even heat distribution. Also, I like that it's a big pot that doesn't have a huge base that would overwelm the stovetop. (The diameter and height are each 9 inches.)

great pot
I have used this pot several times in the short time I've owned it. I like the fact that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my stove and the heavy bottom prevents scorching.

Compared to Polarware, Adcraft, Carlisle, All-Clad, Anolon Advanced Clad/Ultra Clad (which doesn't make a stock pot larger than 8 qts, anyway). Have not compared to the "professional" line of Tramontina but did not find a copper core in any of these brands other than All-Clad.

These pots are designed to give a very even heat and will last a long time but care instructions must be followed.
The clean up is fairly easy too- if there is any sticky residue in the pot we just soak it overnight with some detergent and it comes right off the next morning.

Ball® Plastic 16-Ounce Freezer Jar, Set of 4 (by Jarden Home Brands)

I own 32
I originally ordered one set of these jars for Strawberry Freezer Jam. They worked great. I then purchased 7 more sets of jars. Four sets I used exclusively for freezer canning and the remaining four sets I use for storing food in the refrigerator. After less than a year, all except 2 lids have developed cracks. The crack starts at the tiny divot in the center of the lid then expands outward. I have contacted the manufacturer without result. I prefer these type of jars for freezer canning but because of poor quality will return to using glass jars.

Lids crack in the center - don't buy these
These freezer jars have a very nice design - I love the concept of the screw on lid, etc. Unfortunately, all of the lids on mine are developing cracks in the center. Of course, now they are useless. What a waste of money!

Great freezer jars
I own about 40 of these jars, been using them for over 2 years and have learn that I can't find a better freezer jar than this one. They have screw on lid and bottoms of jars sit down on top of another jar lid and more or less lock in place which keeps them from falling over. Read where people having problems with jar breaking of cracking. First about the only way to break them would be from a severe fall or no using common sense not to over load the jars. When you put something in a jar like this and they freeze, they need a little expansion room inside the jar. If figure that is why they are cracking. Pesonally I have never had one break or crack. They are mad by Ball the same company that makes canning jars so they have to be pretty good. But they are even better than that, they are great. Also made in 2 other sizes.

Demeyere Proline 5-Star 11" Frying Pan

Nice pan
I'm very happy with the pan, heats up evenly. The welded handle (no rivets) is definitely a plus when washing it, I wish all manufacturers would do this... Handle design is also more comfortable than All-clad.

Beautifully crafted, high quality, fry pan
I ended up deciding on Demeyere after reading many reviews and watching a few youtube videos from the manufacture. First impression, I liked that it did not have rivets! Especially with fry pans, rivets can be so difficult to clean as food gets trapped; which also worries me about potential bacteria.
This pan is incredibly heavy, which took some time to get use to but so well made. It takes a while to heat up as others have mentioned. I use the water test to make sure it's at the correct temperature before adding anything, including oil. (Check out the free video on [...]- they have sample videos and one of them is on pan frying.) Once the pan is at the desired temperature, food does not stick and it cleans up beautifully. If it's not at the right temperature, it's a mess to clean. (I've learned the hard way.) You do have to make sure to keep the flame down to medium, even while heating for best results. I treat it much like preheating my oven. Put it on the stove, then start...

Even heating, helper handle excellent pan!
I enjoyed reading some of the other reviews about this pan and have to say most of them are very accurate. The only exception I find is that the pan doesn't seem to be as easy to clean as some would claim. It is a stainless steel pan, so if something gets a little too hot or you don't have enough oil it will stick (eggs come to mind). I now use a carbon steel griddle for eggs which works so much better with less oil. To clean the Demeyere proline, I found that one of the blue scrub sponges is usually sufficient for anything that gets stuck (it is designed to scrub but will not scratch the surface of this pan). In one particularly bad case, some canola oil splatters got very sticky and I couldn't get it off until I used some Dawn Power Dissolver. The pan looked absolutely new again.

Go to Sur La Table to see these pans in person, then buy it for much cheaper here at Amazon. You will see that the handle is the most comfortable of anything out there. The 11-inch has a...

I don't tend to agonize much over any of my purchases but I found myself struggling to find the knife I wanted. The market seems lately flooded with a multitude of high quality knives featuring a bewildering variety of blade and handle designs not to mention different steel types! I was eventually drawn to this particular knife because the European style chef knives from the same line seem to earn such high praise. Oddly, Iv'e had little luck in finding many impressions of this particular model on the internet. I gambled that Zwilling had put as much care into the crafting of the santoku as apparently went into their other Kramer designed knives. I have not been disappointed.

This knife feels wonderful in my hand. It is well balanced and comfortable in any of the grips I normally use...

Regrets to Bob Kramer Zwilling Santoku Knife
Twice I ordered this knife and twice I returned it--the most recent of which occurred just on hour after receiving the product and inspecting it. I fell for the hype and PR which was embedded in a site featuring Bob Kramer. You know the one--featuring Japanese artisans pounding hot steel and forging brilliantly attractive and razor sharp knives. Well this knife is far from what you see in the hype piece. The knife handle had the rivets sticking out by about a mm such that any prolonged use would cause a blister. But that is not all. The top part of the blade tongue extended beyond the wood handle which added to the discomfort. The tongue was higher than the wood handles. I wanted to make sure that I was not overly critical about the knife and showed it to someone who has owned Bob Kramer knives and worked with them and liked them very much. He is an accomplished cook in the Napa Valley. Upon handling the knife, he declared that it must have been a "second" or that...

Don't be surprised at what happens if you misuse it
Brockenb, the fault is indeed yours. You DID misuse the knife. This kind of knife cannot be used for cutting bone and doing so will break the blade, which is what happened to you. Also, a carbon steel knife will acquire a patina, and requires proper care.
It sounds to me like you had no idea what you were buying, or how to use it properly. In the future, I suggest Target -- they have some very nice knives for $25 or so that should be perfect for you.

National Presto 85803 Pressure Cooker Cover Handle

Different style than the original, but works fine
Replaces the broken or missing handles on an old cooker. It's a more rounded, less "moderne" style than the original, but I actually like it better.

Good product and excellent service.
Handles were a perfect fit. Easy to open and close lid of pressure cooker.Easier to install than the original handles.

Presto Change-o new handles!
Very glad to get these. They were a perfect replacement for the set that had to be chiseled off because I failed to realise the gasket had oxidized. The lid got stuck after making a batch of pasteles and there was NO way they were going to be tossed out with the pressure cooker!!! Found these and they are a perfect fit (oh, by the way, I also replaced the gasket.....).

Zwilling TruClad Stainless Steel 8 inch Nonstick Fry Pan

The best non-stick I've ever used
This is hands down the best non-stick skillet I've ever used. It does not use any of the toxic materials, has a superb heat distribution, requires very little oil, very easy to clean and you will have a perfect sear every time you use it.

better than expected
I stalled for a long time making this purchase but my friend who also has a thing for all the latest kitchen gadgets kept insisting that I needed one of these. My old cheapies finally went into the trash and I got tired of cleaning stuck on scrambled eggs. I also ordered the 10 inch and am so impressed. There is nothing I've cooked in them that does not just slide right out, even cheese that spills out of the omelets.

My induction unit that sits on the counter is very fussy about what kind of cookware I use. These do work. I'm also impressed at the weight of the fry pans. They compare with other cookware that were far more expensive. I'm extremely happy that I finely decided to make the purchase.

Great non-stick pan
This is a great non-stick pan and is perfectly flat on the bottom. You will know if your range top or burners are not level. My wife and I love this pan.

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 11 piece Set

Easy to clean
This set is replacing a stainless steel set I was using. If you want easy cleaning this is the way to go. Its almost spotless after rinsing with water but you must use soap to remove the film. I am loving the 10" skillet and use it the most. I didn't have one with my stainless set. I expect to get many years of use from these pans and if they wear out I can send for a replacement. You can't go wrong.

Warranty Works
We were given a set of Calphalon Contemporary Non-stick for our wedding. After seven years, about half of the pots were starting to show minor pealing or dings in the non-stick surface, despite proper use. We mailed them back to Calphalon and got a brand new set back, with some better pots than we had returned! It doesn't get any better than that!

Great Cookware for the Price
This is a great cookware set for the price. Nonstick surface is great and they work as great as they look. Just hope the coating lasts.

Nordic Ware 2 Burner Backsplash Griddle

Does Not Cook Evenly on Glass Top Stove
I was excited to try this griddle on my glass top stove. I always used electric griddles in the past but was tired of storing a large extra appliance so I opted to try a stove top option. The Nordic Ware Backsplash griddle was extremely disappointing. I tried it twice to make sure it wasn't user error but both times my pancakes cooked extremely unevenly to the point of being raw on one half and burnt on the other. I make a lot of pancakes and never have had this kind of thing happen. I tried a second set after reading some hints and reviews but with the same result.

Perhaps this product works better for gas ranges but it clearly states on the packaging that it's for glass top stoves as well. Unfortunately I couldn't get a satisfactory result and this griddle is being returned.

Why I Love This Griddle.......
This griddle works very well on my gas top range! The features I love most are the deep sides compared to other griddles which have the thin lip and there is the chance of the food running off the sides and the well that collects the runoff oil/grease. I like the fact that the grease does not saturate my food. This griddle can hold up to 4 very large pancakes, 3-4 hamburger patties, fry several eggs at once, and 6-7 strips of bacon. I use a large universal splatter screen to catch the grease when frying foods. It would have been nice if Nordic Ware would have made a splatter screen/guard specifically for this product, since the pan is square and most splatter screens are round. Clean-up is very easy, you can use a paper towel to dab the oil from the well before washing. This backsplash griddle is becoming my "go to" pan in the kitchen!

Amazing! Use on my glass top stove. Thin and easy with no plug.
I hate extra things that have to be plugged in and that are big and bulky. So I have never bought a griddle. When I saw this it appealed to me as it is thin and would be easy to store. I also like the grease drain slot. It is easy to clean and cooks eggs perfectly! Don't use high heat, but medium or low heat. Great unit and works perfect for my needs.

Bernardin Canning Starter Kit - w/Canner

Great Canning System
This a complete canning kit, a great way to get started in canning, which is fun and useful. I have made jams and jellies and canned tomatoes with great success.

Canning Starter Kit
The kit arrived timely and was as described. One part of the pan had a small dent in it and I was worried that the lid would not fit perfectly. I contacted the company and was immediately sent out a replacement! Excellent customer service! The dvd was excellent and within a few minutes I WAS CANNING! Very pleased with this item and would highly recommend it to any first time canner or experienced canner!

Fiesta 9-Inch by 5-Inch Individual Oval Casserole, Lemongrass

small
I thought this was going to be much bigger - it is personal size. But, otherwise it is very cute and would be awesome for mini scalloped potatoes!

Love this casserole.
I also bought this casserole in the tangerine The lemongrass is also a great color, and a great addition to my Fiestaware collection.Great for 1-2 people, or for hot dips for a very small crowd. highly recommend.

Perfect!
This is the perfect size crock for individual size servings. Immediately after receiving mine, I baked individual crocks of shepherd's pie. They cleaned up very easily even though I did not grease them before baking the pies at 400 degrees.

Lock & Lock Large Shaker, 2.9 Cups, Colors may vary

Water Tight Blender
I like Extend ShakesExtendShake, 3-Flavor Variety Pack, 5-Count Servings (Pack of 3), but mixing them can be a problem. I make them with either cold water or cold skim milk and I have a tough time removing the "lumps." But the Lock & Lock Large Shaker solved my problem.

I do not use this as a drinking vessel. It is a "shaker", so I use it for blending liquids and powders. The Lock & Lock Shaker mixes the powder into the liquid. First, it has a top that seals so well that it is water tight (so no spills). Second, it has a gyro like removable mixer that fits into the shaker and helps the ingredients to blend.

One of the better features is the patented 4-hinge lock. When in the lock position, the lid is air and water tight, which makes it perfect for storing in the refrigerator.
I like this product.

I highly recommend the Lock & Lock Large Shaker for anyone who mixes...

Not what's pictured
I ordered two of these because it's a great idea to have a snap on lid. The tops are not at all what is pictured on the site. The hinge is recessed and the top only opens half way. It is impossible to drink out of!!! Do not buy this!!!

a monkey designed this thing
does it mix? yes. does it secure well? yes. is it airtight? yes. could a three year old come up with a better design for a mixer? yes.

it is not what is pictured, the plastic cover of the drinking apparatus only goes back half way. acceptable for people who dont have a nose, but if you do have a nose, you have to drink from it sideways.

just poorly designed, constructed well though.

All American 151 rack, 11.5 diameter.

made in china junk
For the price it should have been made of stainless steel, but was cheap, thin, aluminum.. I could have found something that works from the goodwill..

Great product
These trays are being used for what they were intended for, and they work great. We purchased them for our All-American 921 pressure canner. The pressure canner came with 2 of these racks. We are using the canner with 1/2 pint jars and needed more so we could get more jars in per load. We also ordered for our neighbor's canner (he only had 1 rack for his 23 quart Presto).

Love it, I am happy I purchased two of them.
I have used both of the racks, the last fours days. My husband and I pressure canned 110.97 pounds of dry packed, browned ground beef and beef patties. I have 20 wide mouth quarts of beef sirloin and pork tenderloin in my double decker All-American canner as I write this review. Yesterday, I had both of my All American canners running at the same time, trying to get all of that ground beef finished. The reason you will like these racks: the racks that come the big All American [#921 21.5 QT vol.] are, two wire racks, but sometimes you will get the jars rocking, because they cannot sit flat on the wire. This requires extra time to keep adjusting the jars as sometimes they tip over repeatedly. Buy a couple of this racks and the issue is resolved and you save the aggravation of your jars tipping or tilting. Oh, and if you have the next size down canner you can still stack pints or smaller jars if you have this rack. I also use these style rack in water bath canning, as they are...

All-Clad Copper Core 12-Inch Chef's Pan

The only pot you need in a small kitchen
When I started law school, I moved into a studio apartment with only microwave pots to cook in. After a year, I decided that some better form of food was necessary. I first got an All-Clad 1-quart saucier, and then I got this amazing pot/pan. I need nothing else. It warms quickly and evenly and cleans beautifully. At first I choked over the price but I bit the bullet and got it. The cost is, granted, about the same that one can pay and get a whole set, but I've had those inferior sets before. They've gotten thrown out in a year or two because they're worth exactly what I paid for them. Should I ever actually need another pot, I won't look at anything but All-Clad cop-r core.

Good quality, but not perfect.
This pan is of top quality. Heating is rather even due to its special constraction. The 12 inch size is perfect for preparing meal for 1-4 persons. The handle will never be hot however the handle of lid could be hot if cook long.
CON: When stirring fry eggs or meat, this pan is really sticky. I changed from high heat to medium heat and added more vegetable oil and these won't help that much.

I love this multi-purpose pan
I bought this pan five months ago and have not regretted it. It was the first piece of All Clad Copper Core that I purchased and I have purchased five more pans since! First of all, the pan looks beautiful and you can put it in the dishwasher. I clean it with powdered Bar Keepers Friend (sells for $2 in Publix) and then put it in the dishwasher. My dishwasher has a sanitize cycle, so I prefer to put as many things in it as possible that do not require hand washing.

I have cooked a variety of things in this pan: Fried items, sautéed items, marinara sauce, stews, soups, etc. Basically, it is a great multi-purpose pan - and unusual. You will never find this style of pan in a set that you would buy. I am not into Asian food, but obviously if you like that, this pan would be perfect for stir frying. It holds quite a bit of food and the loop makes it easy to move from the stove to other areas of the kitchen if you need to. The lid is high doomed so moisture will stay in as...

Old Dutch 30-by-20-Inch Rectangular Pot Rack, Copper

Old Dutch Graphite Pot Rack
My fiancee and I had looked at many different style potracks and had been the most impressed with Enclume but the price was very high. We had recently decided to change how to hang our All Clad Stainless cookware to just plain bars when I decided to look on Amazon.com. I found the Old Dutch PotRack and decided to purchase it for the looks, what our needs were and the great price. We just love the potrack. It was very easy to hang, has a very solid look and feel to it and it looks great in our kitchen. We now have our All Clad Stainless cookware easily accessible. We decided to take out the grate in the middle to be able to hang our large roaster. I would recommend it to anyone.

Very pleased
This is a well made product. The hardware was extremely sturdy. The screw hooks into the ceiling joists were very substantial. The supplied hooks to connect the rack to the ceiling hooks, would have lowered the rack too much for our ceiling. So we went to the hardware store and bought two very nice oval links and then spray painted them to match the graphite rack. Worked beautifully. The rack is very stable, doesn't tip, perhaps becasue the pots hang from the grid work. The pot lids are very conveniently stored on the top of the grid. I heartily recommend this product.

This is better than Prozac
I am so happy and thrilled with this potrack, Im giddy. This is an "Extremly" heavy potrack, even before it's loaded with pots and pans. I just bought a new home with a center island in the kitchen. It's not a large kitchen and the kitchen, dining room and living room are combined into an open living area. Everyone said I could'nt have a ceiling rack, because of the vaulted ceilings. They also said it would be too "cluttered". When I found a handiman willing to tackle it, he was surprised, that such a heavy rack only had two hooks. You'll have to buy the chains for this, if you're going to suspend it from the ceiling. My handiman went to 6 different stores to match the copper color. He then had to go into the attic, to put up another piece of timber, so that the rack could be centered over the island. I needed about 9 feet of copper chain, about $ when all was said and done, it is absolutely beautiful. This would be a much easier piece to hang, if you have flat ceilings...

Trudeau 15-Piece Meat Fondue Set

Good Value for lower end pot
We purchased two of these for hosting large fondue party and found them up to the task. They heated nicely, were easy to clean and those stoneware dishes came in handy. Unlike another reviewer, our items came with all the necessary parts (the fuel burner/container, the protective cover, and the fork guides). It looks like they made a mistake on his or her order.

On the downside, the sterno we purchased did not fit in the container and the construction overall was a tad "tinny."

Overall, these are fine items if you are going to use them, as we did, for a large party where you need several pots. However, if you are giving this as a gift or plan on having only one pot in your collection, I recommend purchasing something a little more solid and aesthetically pleasing. We are especially happy with our All-Clad Stainless Fondue Pot with forks

Must have fondue pot!
I made meat fondue in this for x-mas last year, I am planning to cook chocolate in it for choclate dipped strawberies soon. works great, and is easy to clean!

Good Quality Product
Much nicer than my old, smaller ceramic pot. This one is built for some serious dipping.

Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 5-1/2-Quart Round French Oven, Flame

You'll never own a better piece of cookware!
I have had a 5 1/2 quart Le Creuset oven for years. I still have my vintage one and I also have a new one. You will never own a better piece of cooking ware than Le Creuset (especially the vintage pieces) in my opinion. These ovens are very versatile. I fry, boil, simmer, stew, bake, brown and saute all in this oven. I have dropped these ovens many times as well and they are very durable. My vintage one has been through many years of cooking and moving and it still looks almost as good as the day my grandma purchased it! My grandmother passed her Le Creuset cookware to me so, I also love the flame color as it has wonderful memories for me.

I'd highly recommend this oven to anyone who loves to cook for their family or to any professional chef for that matter. These are expensive but, they will last for your lifetime and probably your children's, children's lifetime. This one economic splurge that I never regret.

Cuisinart GG-10 GreenGourmet Hard-Anodized Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set

Best cookware ever
There are no negatives for this product line. Nothing sticks to these pots and pans and it is so incredibly easy to wash off foods that may look stuck. It slips off like butter with a little water. These are not too heavy to handle and the bottom is smooth so won't ruin your flat electric stove tops. The handle is easy to hold on to and I've been using it for over a year and there is no residue or scratches on the surface of the cooking area. It still looks band new :)

Love My New Cookware
So far my cookware is great. I got the 10 pc set. Now I wish I would have got the 12 pc. No more ingesting PTFE and PFOA. Easy clean up. I now am able to make my husband over easy eggs with out breaking the yolks and I don't need to spray the the pan with any oil. LOVE IT!

The Best
I can't say enough good things about these pans. Perfect even heating and clean up takes almost no effort

Eastman Outdoors 37203 Outdoor Gourmet 22-Inch Deep-Dish Stainless Steel Wok

Fabulous wok for outdoor cooking on the Big Kahuna burner
This wok came as part of a kit with our Big Kahuna outdoor burner. It is very thin and fairly lightweight, which turns out to be a good thing as it makes it easier to handle this huge wok while cleaning. Cooking in this wok is a breeze, the oil heats quickly and the food cooks beautifully. Clean up has been very easy and simple with just soap, water, and a sponge. Clean up only occasionally requires an SOS pad to remove some of the oil e.g. from carmelizing onions; foods do not stick to the wok. The large size makes it very easy to cook, with the only complaint being that it is a little hard to rinse in the kitchen sink due to the wide diameter. For that reason alone, it may be worth it to get the smaller 18" stainless steel wok. Other than that, we couldn't be happier with the 22" stainless steel wok and the Big Kahuna burner! Too bad they don't make a semi-circular drainage rack that fits this size wok.....

First Impression
Just got the this wok delivered. I'm surprised on how thin the metal wall actually is and hope this doesn't affect the product performance. The handles are very poorly attached to the wok so I would not use it to carry the wok with anything heavy on it. Going to cook with it soon and will post a new review.

Great wok, but you probably don't need the 22 incher.
If you are a caterer or own a restaurant, then you probably can effectively use the 22" wok. I loved the idea of a huge wok, but failed to anticipate the challenges it brings:

1. I couldn't season it in a standard oven. I had to resort to using the burner to season it by turning it. It was a laborious experience.

2. I can't easily clean it in a standard sink. Good thing I'm cooking next to the hose.

Get the 18", or search Amazon for "Wok Shop" and get a 14" or 16".

Frabosk 8 3/4" Induction Heat Diffuser Plate

Good Quality Poor Performance
I bought the Frabosk 8 3/4" and the 5 5/8" plate for use with my Electrolux Induction Range.

Pro's: They're very nice looking and very well made

Con's: Although they work, they don't work well. The heat transfer is v...e...r...y sloooooow! I could not get the toast for a grilled cheese to brown. I could boil water - slowly. And the handles go through and are unusable while heating which kind of makes the handles useless.

Mine turned quickly in a piece of waste.
My Frabosk plate worked OK for a while, but after a few month it started to do some crack-like noises.
Then it lost its flatness, and assumed a curbed shape.
Finally its three metal layers started to come visibly apart.
In the long run, you may spend less and have far better results, buying a few induction pots and pans at IKEA.

Diffuser
This plate works well but you will need to adjust your temp. to make sure you have it right, it cuts down the temp just a bit.

Chef's Design 9-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker

Works great
Fairly robust rubber seal looks like it will last a while. Instructions suggesting use of cooking oil on seal during each use are being followed. Little water loss and low flame required to keep pressure up. Quiet. Was a MUCH better deal when I got it in May 2003 for $... . . . Shipping box was quite flimsy.

I would change this to 4 stars if I could
This items has some strong points; it is 18/10 Stainless Steel with thick alum sandwiched in base, is was $45 with free shipping when I bought it, and it came with a glass lid so you can use it as a stainless steel stock pot or store food in fridge. However there is a weak point. This pressure cooker is limited to 11.6 PSI. It is undesirable not to hit the standard 15 PSI, cooking temp will be nearly 10 degrees less, and cooking times 2 to 3 minutes more. It this item's defense, I have not seen evidence that other brands in this price range reach 15 PSI either, which leads me to suspect they don't as this is something to brag about. I purchased two spare gaskets from an on line source that I found, a little over $20 with shipping. Five years from now, I don't know if they will be that easy to find, and these do wear out. The item came well packaged, and in perfect condition. Everything about this item is super, except that it would be much better for it to reach 15psi. Do a...

Pressure Cooker Takes the Pressure Off
I have never owned a pressure cooker before, but this one made a good first impression. Dishes that normally take hours are done in minutes, and all the food's flavor and nutrition is preserved.

16 inch Carbon Steel Hand Hammered Wok (incl. wok ring)

Nothing beats a carbon steel wok. Stay away from teflon!
Many (or only a few) years from now people will figure out that there is nothing healthy about eating stir fried food out of a non-stick coated Wok. How can it be? Non-Stick was not made for high heat and it is not good for using lots of utensils in.
I tried them all, Stainless (horrible), aluminum (not so bad!), non-stick (cancerous), Cast Iron (wonderful) and Carbon (wonderful). The trick really is in the seasoning. If you have that down and you treat it the way it should be treated (I.e. no soap, no standing liquids, heat dry, rub in oil after use) then this wok will become your cheapest as well as favorite kitchen tool. Almost non-stick without chemicals!

The have several sizes from the Wok Shop (THE BEST!!!) and this one has not disappointed. My most used size. I have mostly single handle (wood) but this larger size is best with the double hancle. I like the all steel as I sometimes reseason under the broiler and that is not so good with wood handles lest you...

Exactly what I was looking for!
I bought this wok as a Christmas gift for my DH. He previously lived in Japan and cooks all the fun and exciting Japanese dishes that I would never think of or even try.

He loves this wok! I got the 16 inch even though there are just two of us in case we decided to have company and make some extra.

He spent the afternoon seasoning it first as the instructions explained and from my understanding this will continue to season itself over time with you.

Then he made my favorite seafood stir fry with noodles and some tempura veggies. I know he would have loved to make something more challenging but made my favorite first :-)

The Wok Shop (who is the company selling this) sent the wok super quickly, I think I had it within a week of ordering and used standard shipping. They were nice enough to include a little "gift pack" that included some utensils to use with it and a little booklet with some receipe ideas.

My husband wanted only a...

Good Quality Wok
The wok arrived today and am very pleased with the quality. As this is my first wok, I researched /shopped local Asian markets in the Austin, TX area but could only find machine made woks in the 16" size. The machine made woks were thinner wall and didn't look to be of a robust assembly. I make those statements after comparison to the wok I purchased in which the higher quality was immediately evident after opening the package. I highly recommend this wok. The vendor also added some basic wok cooking utensils in the package and they were forthcoming with email information on shipment tracking and how to maintain the product, an A+ vendor.

Excellent for babies
I purchased this for cooking meals for my baby and it has served this purpose excellently. Occasionally, we use it for cooking small meals for ourselves. GAMAGO Bull Nose Magnetic Key Holder, Red

Interesting idea, somewhat poor execution.
The product shipped and arrived in a reasonable amount of time, so no complaints there. Where I start to see problems is that there is no hardware included (i.e. screw that will hold it snug to the wall.) Basically, I had to search around my garage to find a screw that only marginally holds this cheap plastic in place. The whole idea is that it's a one-handed, quick in, quick out keyring. Every time I hang my keys on this, I have to use both hands. Every time I take the keys off of the magnet, I have to do a double-take to make sure it hasn't fallen off the wall. The magnet is strong enough to hold my average key-ring, but if I had the chance to use this product before buying, I almost certainly wouldn't buy it.

This is no Bull!
I thought this was he coolest thing when I saw it on eBay, I did a search and actually found the best price here on Amazon. Out of the package, it's clearly plastic, and not as striking as I thought it would be, but it's still a solid piece. If I could make a couple changes to this product, I would have made it out of metal or stone. I would have also made the wall mount better as I have to hold the head to snap the keys back in the Bulls snout.

Either way, it was worth the 7 dollars I paid for it.

just what it says
does just what it is supposed to do. works with any metal key ring. looks great in my new house
