Old Dutch Graphite Pot Rack
My fiancee and I had looked at many different style potracks and had been the most impressed with Enclume but the price was very high. We had recently decided to change how to hang our All Clad Stainless cookware to just plain bars when I decided to look on Amazon.com. I found the Old Dutch PotRack and decided to purchase it for the looks, what our needs were and the great price. We just love the potrack. It was very easy to hang, has a very solid look and feel to it and it looks great in our kitchen. We now have our All Clad Stainless cookware easily accessible. We decided to take out the grate in the middle to be able to hang our large roaster. I would recommend it to anyone.
Very pleased
This is a well made product. The hardware was extremely sturdy. The screw hooks into the ceiling joists were very substantial. The supplied hooks to connect the rack to the ceiling hooks, would have lowered the rack too much for our ceiling. So we went to the hardware store and bought two very nice oval links and then spray painted them to match the graphite rack. Worked beautifully. The rack is very stable, doesn't tip, perhaps becasue the pots hang from the grid work. The pot lids are very conveniently stored on the top of the grid. I heartily recommend this product.
This is better than Prozac
I am so happy and thrilled with this potrack, Im giddy. This is an "Extremly" heavy potrack, even before it's loaded with pots and pans. I just bought a new home with a center island in the kitchen. It's not a large kitchen and the kitchen, dining room and living room are combined into an open living area. Everyone said I could'nt have a ceiling rack, because of the vaulted ceilings. They also said it would be too "cluttered". When I found a handiman willing to tackle it, he was surprised, that such a heavy rack only had two hooks. You'll have to buy the chains for this, if you're going to suspend it from the ceiling. My handiman went to 6 different stores to match the copper color. He then had to go into the attic, to put up another piece of timber, so that the rack could be centered over the island. I needed about 9 feet of copper chain, about $ when all was said and done, it is absolutely beautiful. This would be a much easier piece to hang, if you have flat ceilings...
