Good Product
Bought this for my partner to steam her pork buns in our wok. The tiers are not all that tall, probably about an inch - inch and a half high, but plenty of room for its purpose. Pretty sturdy and good quality for the price. Just make sure to wipe it out when finished with it (don't soak it in water!) and when it is drying rub entirety with a small amount of mineral or olive oil to keep the bamboo from drying out and splintering.
Nice-ish
This bamboo steamer is fairly well made. There are places where you can see the supports that are used to hold the slats on the bottom in. Looks like it may not be able to handle too much weight there. There are also some places where the bamboo is shedding/fraying. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but so far it looks like it will be okay, just remember that it is cheap and be careful with it and I think you should be fine. Oh and watch out some of the weaving will have to be tightened to keep it together.
It works!
It's built well and sturdy. The tiers fit perfectly even after a few uses when others tend to lose shape, just wash it after each use and make sure it dries! You should have a steamer for years to come.
